Like it or not, the US is known for intervening in the world. We get blamed for this quite a bit. We also get blamed quite a bit when we do not intervene. There was a parable written by a Polish Archbishop during the 1700s which summed it the situation well:

"The dog barked all the night, keeping the burglar away;
It got a beating for waking the master, next day.
That night it slept soundly and did the burglar no harm;
He burgled; the dog got caned for not raising alarm."

No matter what we do, the US will always get blamed by at least some people. The truth is, the US isn't usually responsible for what goes wrong, but since we are expected to do something about it without actually having to do anything, we get blamed for it, whatever the "it" might be. My take on it is that other countries resent not being able to do what we do, or at least, not be able to do what we can on even remotely the same scale. They are jealous of us and resent us, even as they know they need us. If we intervene, their jealousy activates. If we don't intervene, their (arguably more righteous) indignation at us letting people die through inaction activates.

I'll close by saying this: the world should be grateful for US intervention. Without it, Russia, China, and a bunch of terrorists would pretty much control Eurasia and North Africa, at the very minimum. No one else can contain those threats. The US is the necessary and usually sufficient element needed to keep those dangers at bay.

Just about any country can help another in time of need.  However, there are times when a country has to help its self.  In this case, look how much debt the US is in due to its intervention policy.
